 This lesson takes Consultants through using Helper Resources to access a patron's account, use the various view of the fan chart to pick a place to explore and find new people to add to the patron's pedigree, and save the lesson in the lesson planner in Resources.  The demo is an actual lesson planned for a patron.  Merges, Merges, Merges is a lesson that discusses the best practices in determining if possible matches in the FamilySearch Family Tree need to be merged.  Real examples of merges that should and shouldn't be completed will be shown along with the reasoning used to determine what to do.  The lesson will also explore the concept of orphaned ordinances due to incorrect merging practices.  This lesson discusses the process that FamilySearch suggests consultants use to plan a lesson for their patron.  In addition the second half of the lesson discusses a process that can be used to locate where descendants can be found and added to a patron's tree.  This lesson is very applicable to new consultants who are just beginning to learn their calling.
