Image
Puzzilla is an outstanding product to use when you want to find people to add to your FamilySearch Tree.  The key feature of this program is the ability to see a large amount of your tree on one screen. Special Features are the ability to track where you have worked previously in your tree and identifying all the people with possible duplicates in a large area of your tree. It has a free basic version and a paid ($39.95 per year) version that is available at all Family History Centers. Link to the Recording Link to the PDF of the Presentation Slides

FamilySearch - Make a Post with Google Photos and add the Photos to your Gallery automatically (October 7, 2023)

Recently FamilySearch added a new feature to the newly designed Home Page.  In the middle column is a feature that lets you create a post that will show up on the new Home Page and is viewable only by you and your friends.  You can now add a photo to this post from either images in your FamilySearch gallery or from your Google Photos account.  This presentation takes you through this process - which is quite easy to do. Collaboration in FamilySearch Family Tree (October 5, 2023)

Image
One of the most misunderstood features of the FamilySearch Family Tree is collaboration. Since the Family Tree is a wiki and thus collaborative in nature, it behooves us to understand why we need to collaborate, how we can do this and how to be a good collaborator.  Collaboration has enabled the Family Tree to become more accurate over time and will be the key to its growing better in the future.  Link to the Recorded Class Link to a PDF document of the Slide Deck
