The Temple for 11-Year-Olds (November 22, 2023)

Image
This class discussed the Church guidelines and recommendations associated with this group’s preparation to attend the temple for the first time and ideas were presented for how we as consultants can help in this process. Most every ward/branch should have a plan in place for assisting parents in preparing their 11-year-old to attend the temple for the first time. Numerous resources covering this topic were provided. Proving a Person's Identity at FamilySearch (November 8, 2023)

A lot of the issues of problems with records of people in the FamilySearch Tree stem from the fact that multiple people living at the same time and in the same general locality have the same or similar name.  People need to be trained to carefully determine who their relative really is among these multiple possible people.  This class will assist you in this by giving you a plan to use.  The goal of the class is to keep you from falling down any rabbit holes when doing your research.
