Using FamilySearch Partner - My Heritage (September 11, 2024)


 This week we explored one of FamilySearch's partner sites - My Heritage.  It has value for all of us.  We covered what its focus is, how to best tap into the records found there, why your DNA should be uploaded there, and finally we explored the great photo features found there.  This was a not to miss class.

  This presentation is geared to help the leaders of a ward organize their temple and family history work so that they can maximize the effect of this work of salvation in their ward by blessing as many members as possible.  This slide deck covers for Temple and Family History work who is responsible for implementing this in the ward, the Ward Temple and Family History Plan, Ward Temple and Family History Coordinating Meeting, Elder's Quorum and Relief Society Coordinating Council, and more.  If you are unsure how temple and family history work should be handled in a ward this is the class to watch. Joining and Using a Ward Group at FamilySearch (February 28, 2024)

This was an exciting topic: "Joining and Using a Ward Group at FamilySearch."   If you have a working family group at FamilySearch you have already discovered the ease at which ordinance reservations can be shared between family members. These groups really simplify this process.  Now we want to show you how on a ward level you can set up a group at FamilySearch to facilitate the completion of ordinances for those who need help completing them.  Here is how sisters or brothers can easily share reservations and those who are willing can take and complete them.  No more passing out of cards or keeping charts of who has what.  The system will help you do this.  This is also a place for those who have excess baptism and confirmation reservations can share them with the youth. This class needs to be seen by every Ward Temple and Family History Leader and the counselors over T&FH in the Relief Society and Elders Quorum.
