Merging and Unmerging in FamilySearch (October 30, 2024)


This class includes an introduction to the new Merge Assist tool. Have you ever been intimidated by the merge program in the FamilySearch Tree? This class will demystify the process. It will discuss the 4 main variables to analyze when determining if you need to merge two records. Next the merge process is demonstrated. Finally we discuss what to do when a previous merge went wrong and needs to be undone - this will include showing how to use the new Merge Assist tool found in Tree.

Organizing Your Stake and Ward for Temple & Family History Work (February 11, 2025)

Many of us who work to facilitate temple and family history work in the church serve within the umbrella of stakes and wards/branches. To be effective, the stake and ward leaders need to follow the Temple and Family History guidelines in the General Handbook.  This class will take us through those guidelines and provided suggestions as to how to implement effective temple and family history programs at the stake and ward level.
