The Newly Clarified Temple Submission Policy (January 8, 2025)

FamilySearch made some significant changes to the temple submission program and it is wise that we spend some time right at the start of the year reviewing this.  Some of you have probably already studied this but there will be others that are not even aware of these changes. Since these changes can impact every user that submits names to the temple is it important that we know these policies for our own use and for the benefit of all we work with.

  1. Great Presentation - Glad to learn of steps FS has taken to tighten up processes and procedures as of January 2025. I have been Family History Consultant for over 30 years and found FS to be "too loose" and keep all my data either in Legacy or MyHeritage. Now that FS accepts direct lineage back to 200 AD I will begin transferring my data to FS. Thanks again. Also - Isaac Morley (who you mentioned in your lecture) is my wife's g g grandfather.

  2. Thanks for the comment. You are the second person to mention Isaac from this video. Though not related to me by blood, he played a big part in my Carter family's travels from Kirtland to MO to Morleyville, to Utah. Interesting guy.

  3. Is there some way that I can get access to the slide pdf's? When I click on them, it gives me a permissions error
