Cousin Research Using the Descendancy Chart at FamilySearch Family Tree (June 25, 2025)

Cousin Research (otherwise known as Descendancy Research) entails the researching of the descendants of your ancestors. FamilySearch provides an internal viewer for this called the Descendancy View. This class explains what the Descendancy View is and how it works. You will learn how to best organize this tool for its successful use. Finally, several actual examples of researching using this tool will be shown. If you have not used this tool this class will be a big help in obtaining an understanding of how it works and can assist you in researching cousins.

Organizing Your Stake and Ward for Temple & Family History Work (February 11, 2025)

Many of us who work to facilitate temple and family history work in the church serve within the umbrella of stakes and wards/branches. To be effective, the stake and ward leaders need to follow the Temple and Family History guidelines in the General Handbook.  This class will take us through those guidelines and provided suggestions as to how to implement effective temple and family history programs at the stake and ward level.
